No On Measure D
Measure D is a sales tax measure that wants to waste $100 million of our tax dollars on widening Highway 1. Good Beings strongly disapproves of measure D because research from CalTrans and UC Davis shows widening highways does not relieve congestion. On top of this, and most importantly, it's time we begin investing in sustainable transportation rather than automobile based transportation. Things like rail systems, safer bike lanes, and more bus routes will resolve highway congestion and help end climate change. By voting no on Measure D, we can come closer to obtaining these sustainable modes of transportation.
